Kaunoa to offer fitness, educational classes

Kaunoa Senior Center will offer free fitness and enrichment classes via Zoom this month for people ages 55 and older, the county announced Monday.

Physical activity classes include:

• Move it Monday at 8 a.m. on Mondays.

• Stretching at 9 a.m. on Tuesdays.

• Yoga at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesdays.

• Interval Training at 9 a.m. on Wednesdays and Fridays.

• Strength Training at 11 a.m. on Wednesdays.

• Low-Impact Aerobics: 9 a.m. on Thursdays.

• Strength & Conditioning Exercises at 10 a.m. on Thursdays.

• Range of Motion Exercises at 11:30 a.m. on Thursdays.

• Beginning Tai Chi at 1:30 p.m. on Thursdays.

• Zumba Fitness: 11 a.m. on Fridays.

Educational enrichment classes include:

• Starting the Conversation about Advance Care Planning and End-of-Life Care from 12 to 1:15 p.m. on Nov. 18.

• Medicaid and the Cost of Long-Term Care at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 4.

• Guided Relaxation for Caregiver at 4 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 4.

• Healthy Home Activities for Two at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 9.

• Sewing-Lily Bowl and Plate at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 9.

• RSVP Volunteer Opportunity — “Creating a Village” at 11 a.m. on Nov. 15.

• Introduction to Apple iPhone at 11 a.m. on Nov. 16.

• Selecting Interesting Shrubs for your Landscape at 11 a.m. on Nov. 18.

• Aloha Friday (Slack key music and vocals) with Kevin Brown and Kevin Kanemoto at 5:30 p.m. on Nov. 19

Signed waivers are required for all exercise classes.
