HTA seeks sporting event proposals
The Hawaii Tourism Authority is putting out a call for proposed sporting events that would help raise Hawaii’s profile as a premier host for youth, amateur and professional-level events, the agency announced Tuesday.
HTA will select programs to be held in 2022 that engage the community, provide direct and indirect economic benefits, support Hawaii’s youth and are aligned with Hawaii’s brand, a news release said.
A pre-proposal conference will be held at 8 a.m. Friday via Zoom for interested applicants to be briefed on the procurement and to ask questions. To register for the conference, visit bit.ly/PPC-RFP22-06.
All interested applicants are encouraged to register their intent to apply by Tuesday, and final proposals are due to HTA at 4:30 p.m. May 26. Deadlines may be amended as necessary.
