Energy-saving items given away on Molokai

Several hundred Molokai residents picked up free kits containing energy-saving items at drive-thru events held across the island on May 11.

The kits included energy-efficient LED bulbs, water faucet aerators and other items to help residents reduce energy use and manage their energy bills, according to a news release from Hawaiian Electric. The kits were provided on a first-come, first-served basis and while supplies lasted.

The giveaway was hosted by Hawaiian Electric in partnership with Hawaii Energy and the Maui County Department of Water Supply.
