Police asks for public’s help in locating Paia man

Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a 41-year-old Paia man who was last seen more than a week ago at a Lahaina residence.

Kainalu Higbee was reported missing by his family Monday morning, after he was last seen at the residence at about 11:30 p.m. May 7, police said.

His vehicle was towed Thursday after it was left unattended at a residence on Front Street between May 8 and Thursday, police said.

Higbee is described as Hawaiian, 6 feet tall and weighing about 185 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing dark-colored board shorts and a white shirt.

Anyone who knows his whereabouts is asked to call the Maui Police Department’s nonemergency number at (808) 244-6400 or in an emergency call 911 and refer to MPD report 22-015637.
