A 29-year-old Haiku man was found unconscious in a Kihei parking lot early Saturday after he reportedly was involved in a fight with another man, police said.

Officers responded to the rear parking lot at 1913 S. Kihei Road, which is the address for Kihei Kalama Village, at 12:39 a.m. The unconscious man was found surrounded by bystanders, police said.

He was transported in critical condition to Maui Memorial Medical Center, police said.
