ABC Store robbery under investigation

Police are investigating a robbery reported Saturday night when a male shoved an employee after being confronted about leaving a Lahaina store without paying for merchandise, police said.

Employees at the store at 666 Front St., which is the address for ABC Stores, reported they were closing the store at about 8 p.m. when a male took items and left without paying. When an employee confronted the male, he shoved the employee and fled, police said.

The employee wasn’t injured and declined medical treatment, police said.

The suspect was described as Caucasian, 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighing about 180 pounds with blond hair and light-colored eyes. He was wearing a gray shirt, black shorts and gray shoes.
