Around 1,500 without power Thursday

About 1,500 customers in the Kula and Keokea area were without power around 6:20 p.m. Thursday due to a tree being cleared from power lines.

The work was being done along Alae Road and Kekaulike Avenue, according to Hawaiian Electric. Crews were working to trim the tree and then restore power.
