Flags to fly half-staff Monday in Hawaii

Gov. David Ige has ordered that the flags be flown at half-staff at all state offices and agencies, as well as the Hawaii National Guard on Monday to honor the late Hawaii Supreme Court Chief Justice Ronald Moon.

The Hawaii Supreme Court will hold a special session Monday to honor Moon, who was the first Korean American to become the chief justice of a state supreme court. He served as chief justice of the Hawaii Supreme Court for more than 17 years before his retirement in 2010.

Moon died on July 4.
