Maui Police: 2 men on e-bike commit 2 armed robberies in one night

Maui police are asking for the public’s help identifying two men who robbed two Upcountry businesses at gunpoint on April 22.
According to police, the two men unsuccessfully robbed the Longs Drugs store in Makawao at about 10:34 p.m. and then hit a gas station in Pukalani about 20 minutes later.
In both instances, the two men reportedly entered the stores brandishing rifles while demanding cash. They are both believed to be in their teens or early 20s with thin builds.
One is approximately 5-feet, 8-inches tall and was wearing black pants, a black hoodie and black shoes during the robberies.
The other is believed to be about 5-foot-6. He was wearing red pants, a red hoodie and white shoes.
Both men had red cloths covering their heads and faces.
According to police, a store employee at Longs Drugs confronted the two robbers before they fled on a single electric bicycle without obtaining any money.
The second robbery occurred about 20 minutes later at the Texaco Gas Station in Pukalani, where the two men again brandished rifles and demanded cash from the cashier.
This time, they reportedly obtained an undisclosed amount of money and fled on the same electric bicycle, heading down Old Haleakala Highway.
