The Maui Metropolitan Planning Organization is seeking volunteers for a community street painting project at the intersection of Kenolio Road and Alulike Street in Kihei.

Painting Day is scheduled for May 3 and 4. The final street art design, inspired by feedback from more than 100 community members, highlights native plants and wildlife, natural features and local history.

Anyone interested in learning more about “Painting Day” and the project artist’s creative vision, as well as information about this project, can join an online informative session from 4-6 p.m. April 16.
