Firefighters are working to contain a brush fire that burned about 15 acres near the Kapalua Airport in West Maui on Monday.

As of 5 p.m. Monday, Maui fire had the blaze about 75% contained. No evacuations had been put in place, and there were no reported injuries.

Maui firefighters arrived on the scene to find a brush fire in fallow fields above the airport.

Multiple units responded to the blaze, and additional support has been received from the state.

Maui Fire said crews would remain on scene overnight working to improve containment.
