Bobby Pahia to speak on regenerative agriculture and climate resilience

A longtime taro farmer and candidate for Maui County Council, Bobby Pahia is scheduled to speak about regenerative agriculture and climate resilience at 10 a.m March 11.

The meeting is being sponsored by the Teran James Young Foundation. It will be held via Zoom.

According to event organizers, Pahia, the founder of Hawaii Taro Farm, plans to lead a public conversation on regenerative agriculture and its vital role in Maui’s sustainable future.

Pahia is also running for the Upcountry seat occupied by Yuki Lei Sugimura, who is running for Maui County Mayor.

Pahia is expected to share ideas on practical strategies to restore soil health, improve water stewardship, reduce carbon emissions and build community based resilience.
