Kihei association to host candidate forum

Candidates for three competitive Maui County Council races will be appearing at a Kihei Community Association forum Tuesday at Kihei Charter Middle School.

Alika Atay and Dain Kane, who are seeking the open Wailuku-Waihee-Waikapu residency seat; Napua Greig-Nakasone and Yuki Lei Sugimura, seeking the open Upcountry residency seat; and incumbent Don Couch and Kelly King, seeking the South Maui residency seat, will be appearing at the forum.

The meeting at 41 E. Lipoa St. will begin at 6:30 p.m.; doors open at 6. It is open to the public, though association membership is encouraged.

Those attending are urged to bring a nonperishable food donation for the Maui Food Bank.
