Rep. Woodson touts endorsements

State Rep. Justin Woodson, who is seeking re-election to his House District 9 seat, announced a series of endorsements.

They include the International Longshore and Warehouse Union, Hawaii Government Employees Association, Hawaii State Teachers Association, Hawaii Carpenters Union, Masons, Bricklayers, Local 1, State of Hawaii Organization of Police Officers union, Hawaii Firefighters Association, AFL-CIO.

Woodson’s district includes Kahului, Puunene, Old Sand Hills and Maui Lani.


Primary candidate night set for July

The West Maui Taxpayers Association will host a primary election candidates night next month at the Lahaina Civic Center Social Hall, according to an announcement.

Scheduled for 5 p.m. July 25, the event will feature candidates for mayor, the West Maui residency seat on the Maui County Council, the 10th House District seat and 6th Senate District seat.
