RAM to present mayoral debate

Maui County mayoral front-runners Elle Cochran, Don Guzman and Mike Victorino will be appearing in a debate hosted by the Realtors Association of Maui from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. July 26 at the Iao Theater in Wailuku.

The event is open to RAM members and one guest with tickets available beginning Thursday. Remaining tickets will be offered to the public Friday. The event is free.

Those unable to attend the debate may watch on Akaku Maui Community Media, beginning at 7 p.m.; it will be rebroadcast during July.

The focus of the debate will be on issues of importance to the county’s real estate community.

“This is a chance for Realtors to take a seat at the table and help figure out who RAM should support in the upcoming election,” explained Lawrence Carnicelli, RAM’s government affairs director. “As the No. 1 proponent of homeownership and affordable housing on Maui, RAM looks forward to working with the next administration on finding solutions to our housing and homelessness crises.”

To reserve a seat, email election@ramaui.com or call RAM’s main office at 873-8585.
