Tamara Paltin files to defend her seat

TAMARA PALTIN – Seeking reelection

Tamara Paltin, who is seeking reelection to her West Maui residency seat, has filed nomination papers to run for her second two-year term on the Maui County Council.

“There were many important matters that came before the council, but I’m really glad that I helped secure Hanakao`o Beach Park as a community area free of commercial activities so our Lahaina people can recreate in the county area with their families,” Paltin said in a news release.

During her freshman term, Paltin served as chairwoman of the Planning and Sustainable Land Use Committee and attended community plan update meetings “without fail.”

While in office, Paltin also deliberated on the approval of administrative directors and advocated for county improvements through the budget process.
