New UCC pastor will be installed
The Rev. Florentino “Tino” C. Cordova, the new pastor at Iao United Church of Christ in Wailuku, will be celebrated in a service of installation at 3 p.m. Sunday.
Pastors, kahu and lay people from many of the UCC churches of the Tri-Isle Association of the Hawaii Conference as well as the church’s parishioners will be in attendance.
Cordova is originally from New Mexico, and he served churches in Clovis, N.M., and Watsonville, Calif.
A parsonage open house and potluck luau will follow the service. (The parsonage is across Main Street from the church, just below Hale Ho’ike’ike at the Bailey House Museum.)

64th anniversary for Lahaina church
Apostolic Faith Church Head Pastor William “Billy” Han Jr. will give a sermon at 10 a.m. Sunday for the Lahaina Apostolic Faith Church’s 64th anniversary event.
Han is visiting from the church’s headquarters in Honolulu.
The Maui church is located at 1211 Front St.
