Drive-Thru Tour meeting set

A Drive-Thru Tour of the Holy Land is being planned for May 5 to 21, and an informational meeting will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the Faith in Jesus Church.

According to Pastor Barbara Tengan, the tour is designed for the elderly or those unable to walk long distances. It begins in Tel Aviv and includes visits to Shiloh, where the Ark of the Covenant once was, to Hebron, where Abraham and his family are buried, and to the newly excavated City of David. To break up the flight back to Hawaii, there will be a stop in Washington, D.C., which includes a visit to the new Bible Museum.

The cost will be about $5,500 per person and includes airfare, hotel, breakfasts and dinner, travel on buses and entrance fees. Space is limited so travelers will be selected on a first-come, first-served basis.

Faith In Jesus Church is located at 432 Waiehu Beach Road. A $300 deposit and $50 administrative fee are required to secure a spot. The balance of the payment may be arranged with the final payment no later than Feb. 1. For more information, call the church office between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. weekdays at 244-1286.
