Last Mass of 2019 at Kaupo church

St. Joseph Mission Church at Kaupo will celebrate its last Mass of 2019 at noon Sunday. The church celebrates Mass only when there is a fifth Sunday in any given month.

Island faithful are invited to experience the sanctity, peace and tranquility of the church and sacred grounds at this remote Kaupo location. A potluck meal and fellowship will follow the Mass.

The church between Mile Markers 33 and 34 on Piilani Highway, the road to Kaupo.

Burning bowl service at Unity

A burning bowl service will take place at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday at Unity Church of Maui in Wailuku. This service is a transformative ceremony using fire to release old thoughts and beliefs that no longer serve individuals. Music performed by Curt Lee will guide attendees as they release and let go the old and affirm positive expectations for 2020.

The church is located at 483 S. High St. For more information, call 242-9327.
