Makawao Hongwanji to hold classes
Makawao Hongwanji will be holding a five-part online study class on Jodo Shinshu Buddhism through May.
The class is titled “The Tradition of Shinran Shonin: Introduction to Jodo Shinshu Buddhism.” Shinran is the founder of Jodo Shinshu Buddhism.
Each hourlong session will be offered twice a week at 6 p.m. Thursdays (Thursday, May 14, 21, 28) and 11 a.m. Saturdays (May 2, 9, 16, 23, 30).
The classes will be offered on Zoom. They are open to the public and free.
