Virtual service to honor grads

Makawao Hongwanji will be holding a virtual baccalaureate service for the sanga’s high school seniors at 9 a.m. Sunday on Facebook Live.

The service will be conducted from the Rev. Kerry Kiyohara’s residence. Lois Nishikawa, middle school principal of Kamehameha Schools Maui, will be offering a prerecorded message to the graduates.

The Children’s Dharma Story Time will feature a special guest reading of the story “Too Many Mangos,” written by Tammy Paikai and illustrated by Don Robinson.

The video of the service will be uploaded to YouTube immediately following the live broadcast.
