John “Harry” David Balinbin, 73
John “Harry” David Balinbin, 73, of Lahaina, Maui; passed away on June 9, 2015 at Maui Memorial Medical Center. He was born on June 16, 1941.
Harry graduated from Lahainaluna High School; earned a BA in History from Western New Mexico University; completed an enlistment with the Army National Guard; worked at his family restaurant, The Coconut Grove, and Embassy Suites. He enjoyed tennis, hunting, diving, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.
Visitation will be from 9:00-10:00am with a Mass at 10:00am at Maria Lanakila Catholic Church on Wednesday July 15, 2015, followed by a gathering of family and friends at Canoe Beach.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Eusebio & Dionicia Balinbin; siblings Vivian (Miguel) Asio, Antonio Balinbin, Alfred Balinbin, Ernest “China” Balinbin, Henry Balinbin; and brothers-in-law Frank Laborte, and Bob Donnelson.
He is survived by his wife, Sylvia Balinbin; children, Chad (Melani) Balinbin, Anjanette (Brian) Naganuma, Brock (Meredith) Balinbin, Wade Balinbin; siblings, Joseph (Mary) Balinbin, Magdalena “Mary” Laborte, Susan Donnelson; Rudy (Patricia) Balinbin; sisters-in-law Juliana Balinbin, Rose Balinbin, Cecilia Balinbin; and many beloved nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.
