Hilda Kanae, 97 of Kahului, died October 17, 2015 at her residence (formerly of Honolulu).
Visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m. at the Diamond Head Mortuary Chapel in Honolulu, Hawaii. Catholic Prayer Service will begin at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the Hawaiian Memorial Park Cemetery.
Diamond Head Mortuary is assisting with the arrangements.
Mrs. Kanae was born December 9, 1917 in Hilo, Hawaii. She was a retired Telephone Operator from the Royal Hawaiian Hotel.
She is survived by sons Walter (Patricia) Jackson and Thomas Jackson; daughter Gayle (Norman) Kanae Lani; 8 grandchildren and 12 Great Grandchildren; sisters: Georgina Garettson, Frances Gutierrez, Ethel (Manuel) Martinez and Hazel Stammen. Preceded in death by her first husband Leo Jackson, and her second husband Hugo Kanae, Sr.; daughter-in-law Mathilde “Tilly” Jackson; sister: Mabel Kauhini (10 days earlier).
