Fumio Daniel Oki, 92
Fumio Daniel Oki, 92, of Kahului, Maui passed away on February 7, 2018 at his residence under the care of Islands Hospice. He lived in Waihee, Maui, prior to living at a care home. He worked as a carpenter for many years. Enjoyed gardening and carpentry after retirement. In recent years, he suffered from Alzheimer’s disease. However, he attended St. Ann’s Catholic Church every Saturday for many years.
Nakamura Mortuary assisted with arrangements.
He was born on March 30, 1925 in Waikapu, Maui to Otoji and Tsuruko “Mika” Oki.
He is predeceased by wife, Betty Iwamoto Oki; parents, Otoji and Mika Oki; brother, Takeshi Oki; sisters, Doris Ichiko Kawashima, Emiko Nakamura, Maureen Ariyoshi; survived by brother, Donald T. Oki, of Kaneohe, Oahu; sisters, Thelma Kanemoto of Pukalani, Maui, and Frances (Kenneth) Kawaguchi of Kahului, Maui; brother in-law, Henry Ariyoshi; sister in-law, Toshiko Oki and many loving nieces and nephews.
Family would like to Thank Ragasa Foster Family Care Home for their compassion and loving care that they gave Daniel. Also, Islands Hospice for their nursing care.
