Mona Kailiponi, 80
Mona Kailiponi, of Wailuku, Maui, passed on Wednesday, July 26, 2023, at Maui Memorial Medical Center, with family at her side.
She was born on October 3, 1942, in Chengdu, China.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 17, 2023, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Waiehu Ward, with visitation to start at 9:00a.m.; service begins at 11:00 a.m.; burial will follow at 1:00p.m. at the Maui Veteran’s Cemetery in Makawao.
Mona was a retired accountant at M.E.O. She is survived by her beloved husband, Colin Kailiponi; her children, Mark (Erin) Kailiponi, David (Eva) Kailiponi, Ammon Kailiponi, Paul (Robyn) Kailiponi, Abraham Kailiponi; her siblings, Joseph Y.K. Peng, Willie Y.S. Peng, Martin Y.K. Peng, John Y.C. Peng, Wendall Peng, Tony Y.T. Peng; and 8 grandchildren, Emma, Esther, Eleanor, Ayla, Noah, Eli, Jacob, Lucy; and numerous nieces and nephews.
