David Linn Williams
David Linn Williams died October 27th, 2023 after a long battle with cancer and a broken heart from watching his beloved Lahaina burn in the August 2023 fires. He was born May 26th, 1930 in Los Angeles to Merrill Everett Williams and Marion Linn Williams, who later moved the family to Sebastopol where he grew up. He spent 8 years in the U.N. States Navy, retiring as a Chief Builder. He came to the Territory of Hawaii in 1958, moving to Maui in 1962 where he remained until his death. Mr. Williams ran a successful construction business out of the Old Cannery building on Front Street for many years, and a charter sailboat out of Lahaina Harbor for many years after that. Mr. Williams is survived by his children Jeffrey L. Williams, Kathleen A. Williams (Muller), Mark D. Williams, step-daughter Sheila Kiley Archibald, and the late Murry Fredrick Williams; seven grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. A Celebration of Life is to be held in his honor on May 5th, 2024 at Kaanapali Plantation Events Area, from 2pm to 4pm .
