Christine Gleason
Christine Ilima Puha Gleason, aged 65, passed away on June 7, 2025, in Wailuku, Maui. Born on April 3, 1960, in Oahu, Chris grew up in Kalihi Valley's K.P.T housing with her three siblings before relocating to Maui. She was a proud graduate of Baldwin High School.
Chris met her beloved husband, James Tau'a Gleason, in 1981, and they married on December 12 of the same year. Together, they welcomed four children into their lives. Sadly, James preceded her in death.
Chris is survived by her Sister Kathleen Lokelani Puha, Her Daughter Lokelani (Daniel Adachi), her son Tau'a J.R., her 2nd oldest daughter Anela (Lawaia Balios), and her 3rd daughter Cristal U'ilani and 10 grand children. She was preceded in death by her husband, James; her brothers, Morales Puha and Kalani Puha; and her parents, Violet and William (Boy) Puha.
A celebration of life will be held on July 19, 2025, 9am at Giggle Hill in Haiku, honoring the cherished moments and the love she shared with all who knew her.
