Randall Konohia
Born in Hana, Maui, on July 7, 1951, Randall Arnold Hauoli Konohia grew up in Haou, Hana.
He was a gifted guitarist/musician and a proud Army veteran, serving in the last all-Hawaiian military company. He worked at Hertz for 35 years, and in his retirement years, landscaped at Kalanikahua Hou Church, where he also played music and served with aloha.
He was predeceased by his parents, Peter Konohia and Elizabeth Momoa, and six of his eight siblings. He is survived by two sisters: Makala Waring and Teri Poaipuni; his three children: Charla Konohia and her life partner, Timothy Hurney; Randall Hauoli Konohia and his life
partner, Michelle Kitashima; and Jeremy “Jay” Konohia and his life partner, Jacelyn Borozo.
His beloved grandchildren are Gino, Laa Kea, Izabella, Hazaiah, Jayme, Beant, Sartaj, Umi, Haiku, and Peahi. Randall passed peacefully with a longing to go home.
Services will be held on July 25 at Nakamura Mortuary from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. A celebration of life will be held on October 5 at 9 a.m. at Kalanikahua Hou Church, followed by lunch at HaikuCommunity Center. All are welcome!
