Consider changing name of Maui festival

I would like to point out to the newspaper and many organizations, businesses and individuals use the phrase “Made in Maui” or “I will be in Maui” not realizing that the proper grammar is made on Maui or visiting on Maui. A journalist should know the front page headline in (The Maui News, Nov. 3) paper “Made in Maui fest” is not correct. I realize the “Made in Maui” title is what the fair has labeled itself, but it is not proper and should maybe consider changing the title.

Maui is an island. You are on an island not in an island. I have never heard of any island that one is in, one is on an island. This phrase is used too often and residents of this island should know the difference.
