KCA will present candidates forum
July is a meeting month, as alternative months on the third Tuesday the Kihei Community Association conducts our general membership meeting for our participants. Yet we continue to keep it open to the community with no charge or requirement, but do expect attendees to contribute to our perpetual Maui Food Bank drive with nonperishable gifts.
On July 17 we present our first candidates’ forum, featuring two state legislation positions: District 11 House and District 6 Senate, inviting all seven candidates.
The meeting is held at St. Theresa Church Hall at South Kihei Road and Lipoa intersection, commencing at 6:30 p.m. sharp. Doors open at 6, while volunteers set up the room for the meeting.
There have already been a series of candidate forums in June, which is great for our community, and we want to do our part.
Meanwhile, we continue to participate with other community matters and inform via our website, Facebook and twice-monthly newsletter. We actively reach out to all entities to ask questions and express concerns.
KCA is an all-volunteer, unfunded membership nonprofit organization, incorporated in 1960. Later this year we intend to have two more candidate forums, Sept. 18 and Oct. 16, for selected county contests.
Are you registered? Deadline is July 12.
