KCA will meet March 19 at St. Theresa Church Hall
March 19 is the third Tuesday of the month, and as we have since incorporation in 1960, the Kihei Community Association general membership meeting commences at 6:30 p.m., now at St. Theresa Church Hall, 25 W. Lipoa St. We will be welcoming Maui Metropolitan Organization and the Maui Fire Department to talk multimodal transportation planning and fire safety. Both issues have been major concerns to our community over past year, with several very threatening wildfires in the Wailea area, as well as the one last July which destroyed and damaged numerous north Kihei homes. Kihei guys currently have countless concerns about transportation.
While we have not been doing this that long, for over a dozen years our perpetual drive for donations to the Maui Food Bank continues. Remember to have healthy, nonperishable goods for the meeting. Put some in your car now so you won’t forget.
While it is not actually part of the KCA meeting, we are very encouraged that South Maui state Rep. Tina Wildberger will precede the meeting 30 minutes before with a “community meet-up” at this same location, commencing at 6 p.m. So get there early and talk with Tina!
The meeting is open to all; membership is not required, but encouraged. See www.gokihei.org to become a member or sign up for our newsletter. Heads up! for a short time, KCA membership special starting April 1. More information, call (508) 499-9996 Like it? Like us on Facebook.
