Napoleon, Wallace and Trump through the ages

1800s — Napoleon visited the pope and attempted to justify the unjustifiable. The pope called him “un comediante!” As the emperor of France became “agitato,” the pope expressed, “you are un tragediante!” Prelude to Waterloo?

Our contemporary sinister cul-de-sac — blind, fanatical allegiance or responsible, accountable loyalty? “Only those who agree with me are true citizens!” Knock, knock, knock, who’s there? Hitler, Mussolini, Stalin, Castro, or our own self-declared stable genius?

Password? — For the father’s land, for the mother’s land, “Make America Great Again (MAGA).” The slogans, as always, are gut wrenching and so temptingly irresistible!

1962 — George Wallace, governor of Al’bama, stated, “Segregation now, segregation tomorrow, segregation forever!” That ignorant, spineless fascist ran for the presidency, not once, but four times, over a 16-year span. Wow! The base was omnipresent then and now!

As usual, “Big Brother” USA, our insulter in chief, is trying hard to consolidate his next presidential run, favoring corporate welfare and “uuge” tax cuts for the rich and famous! The free enterprise spirit, jobs and wealth creation must be protected, pursued, promoted. No need to forego principles.

2019 — Steve King, congressman from Iowa, stated, “white nationalist, white supremacist, western civilization — how did that language become offensive?” and “Would there be any population left, if not for rape and incest?”

2019? No more “fake news” and conspiracy theories combined, racism is dead!? And the true “PARTYot” is on the rise again, and — “the toddler is still my man,” spitting on the grave of “the brave”“JustUS” for all?
