Shopping cart can’t clear curb thanks to modification

Shopping cart changes? I’ve been glad to push my empty cart back to the front area of the big grocery stores for years, after watching the carts roll free, hit cars, etc. Well, the last three times I tried to raise the front of the cart just 8 inches to clear the curb, this small added rail near one rear wheel catches the pavement, and the cart slams back down in front!

Do we think through the use of something before we design, add to or modify it anymore? Now I unfortunately want to just leave the cart out in the parking lot, because many roll back and almost demand I bring it over a curb.

We all need a simple break away from the “high-tech computer.”
