With vote changes, Wailuku gentrification plan success

I’m surprised that Kelly King, Mike Molina and Alice Lee changed their votes at the last minute to defund half of the giant Wailuku parking structure without conditions. Taxpayers islandwide will pay.

Does this mean the entire $120 million bond amount with interest will continue for the even larger civic center? When complete, small local businesses will be gone and the gentrification plan complete.

Wailuku residents lost, private big shot money interests and development-loving Arakawa-era county employees won.
