Trump’s pullout of US troops shows courage of conviction
President Donald Trump’s withdrawal of our troops from Syria has caused him to lose support from Republican senators linked to the military-industrial complex. The impeachment process that started in the Democrat-controlled House is doomed for failure since Republicans have a Senate majority — unless the President loses Republican support.
The fact that he would risk his presidency demonstrates the courage of his conviction to end wasteful wars. The billions of dollars spent on foreign wars would best be spent at home to improve the lives of American citizens and at the same time our troops would not be placed in harm’s way.
To the independent-minded voters who want the world to be a safer place for our children and grandchildren, the choice is clear and transcends party lines. Trump in 2020. Tulsi Gabbard or Rand Paul in 2024. No more endless, senseless wars!
