So-called Hillary-Putin connections false
In an Oct. 26 letter, a reader wrote that Hillary Clinton had more Russian connections than Donald Trump, Tulsi Gabbard and Jill Stein together. As proof he cited:
• Uranium One “scandal.” Of course, even Fox News finally admitted, and provided the evidence, that this was a ginned-up false claim.
• Former President Bill Clinton was paid $500,000 for one speech in Moscow while Hillary Clinton was secretary of state. That is correct. However, the letter fails to establish the significance, if nothing untoward came of it.
• In contrast to the letter’s claim that Hillary never identified Russia as a threat, the record is replete with the fact that Hillary challenged Putin time and time again, including in person. She was the secretary of state when the Magnitsky Act was passed. She expressed concern about the validity of the election of Putin in 2011. These are just some of the reasons that Putin was so much against Hillary.
I don’t understand why, when such information is so easy to verify, that this letter was written.
