Headlines along fold initially scared reader

I just bought the Weekender for Dec. 7-8, which scared me a little. Headlines are in dark large print, which catch the eye of the buyer/reader. The one from Dec. 7-8 was along the left fold about the shooting in Pensacola, Fla., which was on every news network, but then the next thing read was at the fold, which stated “In wake of Pearl Harbor, Maui braced for an attack.

I immediately thought there was a shooting in Pearl. Of course, at the top of the front page you had “Remembering Pearl Harbor” but eyes weren’t drawn to it. So, I turned the page over and read “Fear of Japanese invasion” and I knew you were writing about Pearl Harbor in 1941. Got scared a little.
