Bartering in Olinda; we have your back

Today, Daton, a well-known sheep farmer, gathered a large bucket of avocados to use as bait for his pig traps. These are in a steep gully that we can’t get to anymore.

He brought us a dozen avocados, and a pack of smoked pork in appreciation.

The least we could do was to give him three rolls of toilet paper.

We all laughed, and were so thankful for our small community, where we have each other’s back.
