Health care workers should change clothes and shoes

Although this pandemic has caused major damage, I want to ask all health care providers, especially those in the hospital, to change out of your clothes and shoes worn in the hospital before you venture out in public.

The other day, while standing in the Costco line, I witnessed a RN in scrubs and mask with his RN badge waiting in line. Later from across lot, I asked if he had just gotten off work and then went shopping and the answer was yes.

This is irresponsible and incorrect. Please change out of scrubs and shoes, remove plastic badges before going into public areas and thank you for doing this difficult job. We don’t need to have potential spread in shopping areas.
