Likes the peace, quiet and empty streets

I commented to a local friend of mine how much I liked the peace, quiet, and empty streets during the shutdown. Brah, he answered, “Me, too. I really miss the good ol’-fashioned days.” I told him we could still have that. We all just need to turn in our cellphones. “No, brah, cannot. I need that!”

An ideal society would integrate the use of modern technology with what was good about the previous society.

Aren’t you glad we have a vaccine against polio? I hope we will someday say that about the coronavirus.

At the same time, it is wonderful treating each other like ohana.

A decade ago, I wrote the pamphlet, or mini book “Creating Mauitopia: Making Maui a Real Paradise” (updated edition available for free at mauitopia.org).

We will create Mauitopia consisting of all our residents. Most, if not all of us, will have cell phones, even in a real modern paradise.
