Where was Sen. Hirono during judiciary hearing?

A reminder to Sen. Hirono: You are in the Senate to represent the people of Hawaii, not yourself.

Where were you when the Judiciary Committee voted on the nominee to the Supreme Court? On the most important vote a senator can make, you didn’t even bother to show up. Hawaii was not represented. You once again failed the people of Hawaii.

One more point: What was the basis of your two despicable questions you put to Judge Barrett, “Since you became a legal adult, have you ever made unwanted requests for sexual favors or committed any verbal or physical harassment or assault of a sexual nature?” and “Have you ever faced discipline or entered into a settlement related to this kind of conduct?”

Where the heck did that come from? Did you have any reason or knowledge indicating such conduct that the rest of the committee did not? Once again, you embarrassed Hawaii.
