Homeless a problem that still keeps growing
A friend and I prepare hot dogs and gift them to our brothers and sisters living in tents along the roadways. They are homeless. They are without adequate shelter. I call them the tent dwellers.
Many of these are men, women and children of Hawaiian descent. In their own homeland, our brothers and sisters are without the basic necessities. What has happened? They have become the stranger, the unwanted.
Homelessness is indeed a major problem on Maui, and it keeps growing. It has targeted our own local population.
