Mask designed to prevent spreading coronavirus

For our friend in Wailea, COVID-19 is spread by respiratory droplets from the nose and mouth.

Droplets may land on surfaces and be contacted by others who may touch their nose, mouth or eyes, spreading the virus.

That’s where washing your hands often comes in. The mask blocks this spread. Sourced from Johns Hopkins website.

A comedian once said that doctors wear masks for the same reason as bank robbers –so you can’t recognize them after they take your money.

A mask is designed to keep you from spreading the virus, not to keep you from getting it. Hold a mask up to the light and see how porous it is. Viruses and germs are much tinier than those little holes.
