Officially had it with robocalls

Okay, I’ve officially had it! So far today, I’ve received seven robo scam calls in four hours, starting at 6 a.m. (sometimes earlier). I will be (once again) turning off the ringer at night so that at least I’m not awakened at 5 a.m. The problem is remembering to turn it back on in the morning. Why can’t government or phone companies do something about this?!

For over a year, I haven’t answered the phone if I don’t recognize the name/number. I try to add all the scam numbers to the call blocking list, which can hold only 12. It won’t accept any of the “local” numbers (which aren’t local at all), and I’ve finally given up, as I have better things to do with a half hour.

I use my phone for my business as well, so this is highly inconvenient.

I gave up paying for an unlisted number, as that doesn’t help against these computer-generated calls, and the National Do Not Call List became useless years ago.

What I can’t understand is why these disgusting scammers keep wasting their time doing this, as no one in their right mind would fall for any of it anymore, if they ever did.

We are all being attacked daily in the security of our own homes, and it’s a terrible feeling.

Just received an eighth call while I was writing this!
