Court no longer deserves respect nor compliance

Recently, six justices of the U.S. Supreme Court overthrew Roe v. Wade. By so doing, they ignored precedent, common sense and the will of the people.

Now, if a woman becomes pregnant, the state can control her body. Against her will, she will suffer morning sickness, weight gain, labor pains and life-threatening childbirth. This is like slavery; no, it is slavery, which is against the law.

For the crime of getting pregnant, the state can force a woman to go through the pain of childbirth at the risk of her own life.

In the U.S., more women lose their lives in childbirth than in any other wealthy nation. This is cruel and unusual punishment, which also is against the law.

When the state can force a woman against her will to go through the pain of childbirth at risk of death, this is torture. Torture is against the law.

We have all heard about the 10-year-old rape victim in Ohio who became pregnant. According to Ohio law, the 10-year-old child would have to carry this pregnancy to term. This is just plain sick. A 10-year-old child is not mature enough to give birth. It is also child endangerment. This, too, is against the law.

The Supreme Court no longer deserves our respect nor compliance.
