December 4, 2012 - Robert Collias
UPDATE (3:13 p.m.): Shane Victorino just tweeted this: Just agreed to join the Boston @RedSox in the middle of paradise. #BLESSED!!! Can't wait to get to Boston! There are cool photos with the link, too.

Stay tuned right here for all the latest updates on Maui's new $39 million man.

UPDATE (1 p.m.): MLB Network's Ken Rosenthal reports that Shane Victorino has agreed to a three-year, $39 million deal with the Boston Red Sox. I'm on the case to get in touch with Shane himself.

I was just channel surfing and came across MLB Network live from the Winter Meetings in Nashville, Tenn., where Harold Reynolds and Matt Vasgersian were talking about where Maui-born Shane Victorino will end up.

Reynolds said, "Here's my pen, Shane, I would sign that" when told of a reported three-year, $38 million offer from the Boston Red Sox. That deal was just recently Tweeted by Boston Globe national baseball writer Nick Cafardo.

MLB Network's Ken Rosenthal just said on TV he heard the Red Sox deal is three years, $37.5 million, but also said that Victorino has a four-year deal from an unnamed team on the table.

Jon Heyman of says the Indians are making a hard run at Victorino behind manager Terry Francona, and that the Giants, Rangers, Yankees and Reds are also in the chase. Heyman says Victorino will be in the $12 million per year range.

Hardball Talk says it is Indians, Red Sox, and Giants that Victorino is fielding calls from.

One thing I know, Victorino is currently fielding all calls from Maui. On Victorino's Twitter feed, only talk of enjoying Maui recently.
