Ewaliko shows his toughness in Hawaii football practice

August 8, 2013 - Robert Collias
Here are a couple of youtube videos where Baldwin graduate Keelan Ewaliko shows off his strength in the Oklahoma drill — a one-on-one blocking competition — in Tuesday's University of Hawaii football practice.

This quick take is the best view. Not bad for a kid who played quarterback in high school.

And this one from KITV shows Ewaliko's moment from behind the wall of surrounding players and includes interviews with quarterback Taylor Graham and freshman wide receiver Ammon Barker, who comments on Ewaliko's toughness.

Ewaliko will wear No. 13 and is listed as a wide receiver — he has also drawn time as a kick returner through six days of camp.

The poor fellow on the receiving end of Ewaliko's burst is fellow freshman Barry Higdon, a defensive back from Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
