Tau Lotulelei following in brother's footsteps at UNLV

August 16, 2013 - Robert Collias
Former Maui High standout LB Tau Lotulelei is wearing No. 55 like his brother John (now in Seattle Seahawks camp) did while compiling 120 tackles last season for the Nevada-Las Vegas football team.

“We had high hopes for (Tau Lotulelei) in spring ball,” UNLV coach Bobby Hauck told Mark Anderson for this story in the Las Vegas Review-Journal earlier this week. “He’s still got football to learn, but he made a big leap forward this spring. I think this camp, the more (repetitions) he gets, the better he’s going to be. He’s got a bright future if he keeps working at it.”

Jimmy Morimoto, the former Baldwin head coach and current player personnel director for the Rebels, sent me the above link earlier this week. Tau was awarded a scholarship after spring ball.
