Halftime: King Kekaulike 14, Kamehameha Maui 10

September 28, 2013 - Robert Collias
Na Alii used two short fields after punt mistakes to take a 14-0 lead in the first quarter before Kamehameha fought back with a field goal and touchdown to close within four at halftime.

It is homecoming night in front of a packed house at King Kekaulike Stadium.

The first touchdown was a 25-yard pass from Ryley Widell to Brandon Haupu. The second touchdown was a 6-yard run by Jay Braun.

Kailoa Akoi hit a 27-yard field goal and Colton Cabanas caught a 25-yard touchdown from Chase Newton for the Warriors.

Na Alii have not won an MIL game since Oct. 12, 2012, when they beat Kamehameha Maui -- they have lost six straight and 16 of the last 17 league games coming into tonight.
