Stanley Satoru Omuro, 77, of Kahului, passed away on January 31, 2013 at his residence. He was born in Wailuku on June 29, 1935.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Monday, February 18, 2013 at Ballard Family Mortuary, memorial service will begin at 11 a.m., and a reception at the funeral home will follow.
Urn burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at the Maui Veteran's Cemetery.
Mr. Omuro was a retired Chemistry Teacher at Baldwin High School, and a Veteran of the United States Army. He was also a member of Seicho-No-Ie, a Hospice Volunteer, and Divine Healing Hands Soul Healer.
He is survived by his wife, Annette Omuro; daughters, JoAnn (Fred) Oshiro, Laurie (Reid) Omuro-Yamamoto, Jennifer Chiemi (Michael) Ban, and Wendy (Chase Corniel) Omuro; son, Curtis Takashi (Jennifer) Omuro; grandchildren, Dane Oshiro, Kara Anne Oshiro, Kyle Oshiro, Mari Yamamoto, Camryn Ban, Micah Ban, Micayla Ban, Cailyn Omuro, and Aaron Omuro; sister, Carol (Al) Murakoshi; and sister-in-law, Mae (Richard-deceased) Omuro.
